We collect order and transaction information such as products purchased, order value, discounts, subscription selections, order history, fulfillment status, refunds, replacements, and customer-service history.
We collect payment-related information necessary to process transactions. Full payment-card information is generally processed by our payment service providers rather than stored directly by Zheytin.
We may collect account and subscription information, including subscription ID, products, quantity, frequency, renewal dates, pricing and discount history, skip/pause/change/cancellation history, and related communications.
When you use Order Help or Customer Care, we may collect claim descriptions, photographs, shipping-label or packaging images, lot/batch information, communications, requested resolution, and other information reasonably necessary to investigate and resolve the issue.
We may collect device and online activity information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from IP, cookie or advertising identifiers, and similar technical information.
We may collect marketing and preference information, including email or SMS subscription status, campaign interactions, communication preferences, promotion usage, and advertising interactions.
If you submit reviews, photographs, testimonials, comments, or other user content, we may collect and process that content and associated information.
2. Sources of personal information
We collect personal information directly from you; automatically through your browser, device, cookies, pixels, and similar technologies; and from service providers and business partners that help operate the Services.
These providers may include our e-commerce platform, payment processors, subscription platform, fulfillment providers, carriers, customer-support tools, fraud-prevention providers, analytics providers, advertising and marketing platforms, review platforms, and other operational vendors.
We may also receive information from publicly available sources or other lawful sources where appropriate.
3. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to provide, operate, and improve the Services; process and fulfill orders; process payments; create and manage customer accounts; operate Subscribe & Save; send transactional and renewal communications; provide shipping and delivery updates; process returns, refunds, replacements, Taste Guarantee requests, and other claims; provide Customer Care; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized transactions, and security incidents; personalize the shopping experience; measure website and campaign performance; conduct analytics; advertise and market Zheytin where permitted; administer promotions and loyalty programs; maintain records; enforce our Terms and policies; comply with law; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and protect Zheytin, our customers, and our partners.
We may use information for other purposes disclosed when it is collected or with your consent where required.
4. How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that perform services for us, including e-commerce hosting, payment processing, subscription management, fulfillment, shipping, customer support, email and SMS delivery, analytics, advertising, fraud prevention, security, cloud storage, professional services, and related business functions.
We may disclose information to carriers, payment processors, financial institutions, card networks, insurers, fraud-prevention providers, and other authorized parties when reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, investigate claims, prevent fraud, or respond to payment disputes or chargebacks.
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, court order, regulatory request, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or security.
We may transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not operate Zheytin as a business that sells customer personal information for money. However, certain advertising, analytics, or cross-context behavioral advertising technologies may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some U.S. state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, we provide the disclosures and opt-out mechanisms required by law.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website performance, measure campaigns, prevent fraud, and support advertising.
Some technologies are necessary for core website functions. Others may be used for analytics, personalization, or advertising depending on our configuration and your choices.
Where required, you may manage non-essential technologies through our cookie or privacy preference controls. Additional information is provided in our Cookie Policy.
Where legally required and technically supported, Zheytin will honor applicable opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device from which the signal is received.
Founding 100 applications: if you submit a Founding 100 application before making a cookie choice, we treat your submission as your choice to allow analytics and advertising cookies on founding100.zheytin.com, as stated next to the submit button. This helps us measure which ads lead to applications, including through Meta. If you have already turned these cookies off in Cookie settings, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we keep that choice. You can change your choice anytime with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.
6. Email and sms communications
We may send transactional communications relating to orders, shipping, delivery, account security, subscriptions, claims, refunds, or other service matters.
Marketing email and SMS communications are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message.
If Zheytin offers SMS marketing, enrollment terms, message frequency disclosures, consent language, and opt-out instructions will be presented as appropriate. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing Zheytin products unless expressly permitted by law.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending non-marketing communications reasonably necessary to service an order, subscription, account, or claim.
7. Subscriptions
When you enroll in Subscribe & Save, we process information needed to administer recurring orders, including enrollment and authorization records, subscription configuration, renewal dates, pricing and discount information, payment-token references supplied by our processor, reminder communications, fulfillment history, and cancellation or modification history.
We retain appropriate subscription records to operate the program, document customer choices, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable requirements.
8. Order help, photos, and claim information
Information submitted through Order Help is used to verify and resolve the claim, provide customer service, improve operations, identify product or fulfillment issues, prevent misuse, pursue carrier or insurance claims, respond to payment disputes, and meet legal or safety obligations.
Claim photographs and free-text descriptions may contain information beyond what Zheytin needs. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is unrelated to your claim.
Zheytin should not intentionally send Order Help free-text descriptions or customer-uploaded claim photographs into advertising or general marketing analytics systems merely for marketing measurement.
9. Fraud prevention and security
We may process order, payment-risk, device, account, shipping, claim, and transaction information to detect or prevent fraud, unauthorized payments, account misuse, duplicate reimbursement, promotion abuse, or security threats.
Automated risk indicators may be used to identify matters for additional review. Where appropriate, ambiguous or materially adverse decisions should receive human review rather than relying solely on an unexplained risk score.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining business and transaction records, administering subscriptions, resolving claims and chargebacks, preventing fraud, complying with tax, accounting, regulatory, and legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, legal requirements, and legitimate operational needs.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
11. Children's privacy
Zheytin's online store and Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 for purposes of creating customer accounts or making purchases.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in a manner prohibited by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
12. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether an applicable state privacy law covers Zheytin or the relevant processing activity, you may have rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include the right to confirm whether we process your personal information; access or obtain a copy of certain personal information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; obtain portable data; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and appeal certain privacy-request decisions.
Rights vary by jurisdiction and are subject to exceptions. Zheytin will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Where an applicable law requires an authorized-agent process, we may request reasonable evidence of the agent's authority and may verify the consumer's identity directly where permitted.
13. How to exercise privacy rights
To submit an applicable privacy request, use: Privacy Requests or contact [email protected].
Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide information reasonably necessary for us to locate relevant records and verify the request.
We will use reasonable verification appropriate to the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the information involved. We may deny or limit a request where permitted or required by law, including where we cannot reasonably verify the request, an exception applies, or fulfilling the request would adversely affect another person's rights.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denied privacy request, instructions for appeal will be included in our response or may be submitted through Privacy Requests.
14. Opting out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising
Zheytin does not sell personal information for money as part of its ordinary business model.
If our use of advertising or analytics technologies constitutes a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under an applicable state privacy law, eligible consumers may opt out through Your Privacy Choices and, where applicable, through a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal.
Opting out of certain advertising uses does not prevent processing that is necessary to provide requested products and services, maintain security, measure certain non-targeted functions where permitted, or comply with law.
15. Sensitive personal information
Zheytin does not seek to collect sensitive personal information unless reasonably necessary for a legitimate purpose.
Please do not submit health information, government identification numbers, financial credentials, precise geolocation, or other sensitive information through general customer-service or claim fields unless specifically requested and necessary for the matter.
Where sensitive personal information is processed and applicable law grants special rights or requires consent, Zheytin will follow the applicable requirement.
16. De-identified and aggregated information
We may create or use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, forecasting, product improvement, operational planning, security, and other lawful purposes.
Where required by applicable law, we will maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except as legally permitted for purposes such as testing whether de-identification processes are effective.
17. Do not track and privacy signals
Browser 'Do Not Track' signals are not interpreted uniformly across the industry. Zheytin responds to legally recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable, including Global Privacy Control where required.
Your cookie and privacy choices may be browser- or device-specific and may need to be reset if you clear cookies or use another browser or device.
18. Third-party links and services
Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, social platforms, payment services, carriers, or other providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies unless they process information solely on our behalf under an applicable agreement.
We encourage you to review relevant third-party privacy notices when interacting directly with those services.
19. International visitors
Zheytin is managed from Tampa, Florida, USA, and this Policy is primarily designed for our U.S. operations.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Additional notices or rights may apply if Zheytin expands its operations into jurisdictions with additional privacy requirements.
20. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, vendors, data practices, or legal requirements.
The current version will be posted on Zheytin.com with its effective or last-updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing begins.
